Chinese calligraphy, an art form that spans over 5000 years, is highly respected and revered in
Chinese culture for its aesthetic beauty and visual harmony.
The value of Chinese calligraphy is multifaceted, encompassing its aesthetic appeal, cultural
significance, and historical importance. Calligraphy is considered a symbol of Chinese culture,
embodying the essence of Chinese art and literature.
Beyond its artistic value, the practice of calligraphy is also regarded as a meditative and spiritual
activity that promotes self-exploration and philosophical reflection. Calligraphers must cultivate
patience, focus, and inner peace to create their works of art, making calligraphy a means of
personal growth and transformation.

"one of the few friends who have strategic thinking in the contemporary calligraphy
world”.

My View on Calligraphy
Reading, understanding, writing from the Heart
The term "calligraphy" as it is currently used is only a superficial representation of the art form and has not yet reached the level of the TAO, which is a central concept in Chinese philosophy, religion, and art.

Tao is often translated as "the way" or "the path," and it refers to the natural order of the universe that governs all things. This natural order is characterized by a sense of
balance, harmony, and interconnectedness, and it can be observed in the cycles of
nature, the flow of time, the creations of living beings, and in Chinese Calligraphy, which reflects a deep appreciation for the interconnectedness and interdependence of all things in the universe.

Based on years of experience and insights, I have come to my own understanding of calligraphy:
1. Reading
Aim for profound and lofty understanding of the text to deepen one's knowledge of calligraphy
2. Understanding
Cultivate a calligraphic mindset from classic works and seek the original source of enlightenment
3. Writing from the Heart
Achieve a state of selflessness and create a new self through writing
